GRIMM presents *Angelus Novus*, Volker Hüller’s third solo exhibition at the gallery’s New York location and his first focused exclusively on figuration. Drawing from antiquity, Hüller’s paintings depict fragmented figures, fallen sculptures, and enigmatic social scenes shaped by states of desolation, care, and uncertainty. Inspired by Walter Benjamin’s reading of Paul Klee’s *Angelus Novus*, the works explore memory, catastrophe, political collapse, and the relentless movement of history.
