Nicola Vassell presents Watch Out for the Ghosts, Adebunmi Gbadebo’s first solo with the gallery, tracing her family’s history on South Carolina plantations through ceramics, handmade paper, and film. Using soil, hair, seeds, and fire, Gbadebo transforms ancestral landscapes into vessels, towering sculptures, and textured sheets, reimagining history as a living, material act of remembrance and reclamation.
