Wayne Ngan: Spirit and Form presents key works by the renowned ceramicist (1937–2020). Born in Guangdong and later based on Hornby Island, BC, Ngan drew from East Asian pottery, Modernism, and ancient traditions while rooted in Canada’s natural environment. His practice combined technical mastery, experimentation with glazes, and sculptural innovation. This exhibition highlights pieces from the 1990s and his later years, reflecting his philosophy of clay as both vessel and spirit.
