In We Are Gods, Edgar Arceneaux continues his sustained inquiry into the intersection of abstraction and materiality through process painting. The exhibition features works from his Skinning the Mirror series, where he separates the silver nitrate skin from sourced glass mirrors. Compositions emerge by chance and design, with pink as the unifying motif that grounds paintings in perpetual flux: warm to silver's cool, flesh to bone shards. The exhibition explores themes of removal, mirroring, vision, and dismantling—bodies breaking, yet persisting.
