This project presents new mural commissions by Brittany Burrows and Jewelina Acosta organized by the American Indian Cultural District with support from Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture. Depicting vegetation, wildlife, and butterflies, the works address Indigenous relationships to land, ecological knowledge, and survival. The murals draw parallels between environmental loss and the ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities, emphasizing interconnected systems of life and care.
