Weighted marks Tanya Aguiñiga’s first solo exhibition with albertz benda, on view May 8–June 21, 2025. Imagining the gallery as a cosmic body rooted in the earth, Aguiñiga creates works from cotton, copper, stone, and clay to explore survival, collective memory, and empowerment. Inspired by the experiences of marginalized bodies, the exhibition honors the body as a vessel of ancestral wisdom, weaving together personal, communal, and material histories into a dynamic whole.
