Sahar Khoury
Parker Gallery presents Wet, Sahar Khoury’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Drawing on gym equipment, nautical forms, and industrial casting, Khoury shapes ceramic, metal, and aluminum into sculptures exploring tension, balance, and energy. Spinning propellers, interlocking tiles, and geodesic domes evoke physical effort and collective systems, merging bodily experience with material and structural experimentation.

Sahar Khoury

Sahar Khoury (born 1973) is an American sculptor known for improvisational works combining ceramic, cement, metal, papier-mâché, and found materials. Based in Oakland, she creates assemblage-like forms that merge abstraction with personal, political, and cultural themes. Influenced by anthropology and community research, her practice highlights structural vulnerability and everyday resilience. She has exhibited widely, including at SFMOMA, where she received the 2019 SECA Art Award.
