In What Remains, Arghavan Khosravi draws on Persian miniature painting and medieval European iconography, constructing systems that explore the pressures shaping women’s lives under political and religious control. The exhibition features large-scale wall works, freestanding sculpture, and a new Altar Series of intimate hinged panels. Ultimately a celebration of female power and agency, Khosravi’s works resist resolution, and what persists is a residue—structures of control, gestures of resistance, and the forms through which they continue to take shape.
