Whit Harris: I’m Just Trying to Find a Little Joy Here at DIMIN presents paintings and ceramics that push between surface and space, weaving gesture, memory, and environment. Inspired by summers at Jacob Riis Beach, Harris ties joy to grief, community, and renewal. Heads, smoke, and beach objects recur as vessels of memory and loss, while sand-infused canvases and figurative sculptures evoke cycles of mourning, resilience, and survival.
