Whittling Chip presents sculptures and wall-mounted mosaics by Max Cleary that draw on craft history, folklore, natural science, and speculative narratives. Using industrial graphite and cast aluminum, the works consider how information and meaning are embedded in objects across time. References to reliquaries, tools, and adaptive mythologies frame questions of use, endurance, and transformation.
