William T. Carson works with coal to probe cultural relationships to fossil fuels and deep time. He studied architecture at DIS Copenhagen and graduated with Distinction in Art Studio from Colorado College (2015); Program Manager & Assistant Curator at the Holt/Smithson Foundation (2019–2026); 2025 Albers Foundation resident. Represented by Nüart; lives near the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
