Adam Beris's *Word is the Fish are Biting like Crazy* presents collaged paintings and resin sculptures built from inherited American imagery, from Impressionist paintings to Las Vegas call-girl adverts, coloring books, and tire commercials. Small canvases isolate a melting pat of butter or a Marlboro cowboy, while resin kielbasas and a steak on a ceramic plate blur the real and the artificial. The work considers American picture-making, media saturation, and deception.
