Frank Walter: Works from the Cowles-Hoard Collection presents paintings, drawings, and sculptures by the self-taught Antiguan artist, tracing his expansive practice shaped by colonial history, displacement, and personal experience. Working on found and unconventional surfaces, Walter produced vivid portraits, landscapes, alphabet works, and carved figures. The exhibition also reflects the role of the Cowles-Hoard family as early patrons who supported and preserved his work during his lifetime.
