You Must Change Your Life takes its title from the final line of Rilke's Archaic Torso of Apollo — a headless Classical fragment that suddenly addresses the poet: "You must change your life." Curated by Tom Morton, the exhibition brings together thirteen international painters and sculptors not to illustrate the poem but to trace its preoccupations: how the past speaks to the present, the animation of objects by the numinous, the fragment as synecdoche, and how the human psyche is shaped by seeing and being seen. The works collectively ask how art addresses us beyond eye or mind, calling on our capacity for transformation.
