Municipal Bonds presents Burnings (Variation X), a 16-piece installation by Dutch-Finnish artist Zaida Oenema structured through a rigorous yet playful internal logic. The work is composed of four modules—A, B, C, and D—each repeated four times, with the sixteen parts capable of being arranged in near-infinite configurations. Using a soldering iron, Oenema burns directly into paper so that incision and contour coincide, creating work rooted in close observation of natural patterns and directional forces, distilled into precise, architectonic form.
