Petzel presents new prints by Zorawar Sidhu and Rob Swainston combining woodcut and lithographic processes. Drawing on 18th-century natural history engraving — particularly Thomas Bewick — the works examine animals within the Anthropocene: pigeons, owls, pigs, and rats depicted as urban cohabitants, test subjects, and political symbols. An owl evokes Flaco; a pig oscillates between farm animal and ICE caricature. Printed on industrial plywood, the series reflects on how animals reach us filtered through cities, books, and screens rather than direct encounter with nature.
