Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal (MBAM)

Canada's oldest art museum, founded in 1860, holding roughly 44,000 works from antiquity to now across five linked pavilions on Sherbrooke Street. Safdie's 1991 Desmarais Pavilion anchors the group. The Bourgie Pavilion, built into a former church, holds 20 Tiffany windows and doubles as a 460-seat concert hall. Contemporary shows run alongside the collection.
