Chinatown, Three Doors

The word “grammar” shares a root with “glamour”—both descend from medieval associations with rare, occult knowledge. Grammar Girls brings together new paintings and studio objects by Molly Zuckerman-Hartung, Annie Bielski, and Rina Goldfield, each working with grammars we rarely recognize: marks shared between friends, everyday objects arranged like private performances, signs we read without knowing how. Together they make a case for the languages we live by without naming them.

Days Change at Night marks Daniel Jack Lyons’ first Los Angeles solo exhibition, featuring intimate portraits developed through years of collaboration with members of the queer East Los Angeles community. Rather than documenting nightlife itself, Lyons photographs his subjects in private, everyday settings, creating images shaped through trust and shared authorship. The exhibition offers a deeply personal portrait of identity, chosen family, and self-representation that challenges traditional documentary photography.

Los Angeles artist Estefania Ajcip creates sculptural paintings that explore memory, family, and the immigrant experience through deeply personal narratives. Drawing on childhood photographs and memories spanning Guatemala and Los Angeles, her works extend beyond the picture plane with carved forms, papier-mâché, and light. Blurring painting and sculpture, Ajcip transforms longing, separation, and reunion into immersive spaces where dreams and lived experience converge.
