Frida and Diego: The Last Dream presents artworks by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera in dialogue with a theatrical installation developed in collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera. Drawing on the artists’ lives, imagery, and post-revolutionary Mexican cultural identity, the exhibition situates their work within a fictional narrative that reflects memory, loss, and enduring influence across visual and performing arts.

Buchholz presents a new exhibition of Paul Thek at Galerie Buchholz New York, our second solo exhibition since co-representing the estate of the artist. Following our first exhibition which focused exclusively on a cycle of early paintings from 1963-1964, this exhibition brings together newspaper paintings, paintings on canvas, and drawings made between 1969 and 1987 as well as a 1971 sculptural installation and a quilted flag from 1977. At the opening, a conversation will take place between Andrew Durbin, author of the newly published biography “The Wonderful World That Almost Was: A Life of Peter Hujar and Paul Thek,” and the artists Moyra Davey and Rebecca Quaytman. The exhibition was conceived in collaboration with the Estate of Paul Thek and the Paul Thek Foundation, and runs parallel to an exhibition of Paul Thek’s work at Pace Gallery, along with a group exhibition organized by Andrew Durbin at Ortuzar Projects.

Housed in a former newsstand on the mezzanine of the Fifth Avenue/53rd Street subway station near MoMA, Emmelines presents Mr. Nobody (June 6-July 25, 2026), gathering works by the 1980s-90s New York collective Group Material alongside Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Barbara Kruger, and David Wells. Named an Artforum Must See, the show brings the collective's politically engaged legacy of art in everyday public space back underground.

Peter Acheson creates intimate paintings that balance abstraction, observation, and art historical reference. Working on canvas, wood, bark, brick, and other unconventional supports, he layers textured surfaces and restrained gestures that draw equally from the landscape surrounding his upstate New York studio and painters such as Blinky Palermo, Raoul De Keyser, Bill Jensen, and Forrest Bess. Rather than resolving these influences, Acheson allows them to coexist, producing works that feel both spontaneous and carefully considered, where multiple traditions and visual languages meet without hierarchy.

Lightness of Form is an exhibition by acclaimed British designer Terence Woodgate. Shown for the first time in New York, the works are a refined study in balance, where structural innovation meets sculptural clarity. Developed in close dialogue with pioneering engineer John Barnard, this presentation brings a focused selection of works—Chaise Longue and Wedge Desk—to a new audience, continuing an exploration of space, movement, and minimalism across contexts.
