Amitesh Shrivastava (b. 1975, Khairagarh, India) is a Mumbai-based artist whose work explores the interconnectedness of nature and the self. Drawing from his childhood in the forests of Chhattisgarh, Shrivastava paints in a distinct pointillist style where abstraction and figuration merge. Working nocturnally in a secluded studio, he likens painting to prayer—an intuitive, emotional act freed from logic. His latest solo exhibition, Talking to the Moon, inaugurates Sea View’s Hollywood space (Oct 10–Nov 15). Shrivastava’s art captures murmurs—pre-linguistic, instinctive expressions—through layered patterns and earthy tones, offering a contemplative experience of nature’s fleeting truths.
