Sea View Gallery Los Angeles · Hollywood
Exhibition on view: Oct 10, 2025 - Nov 15, 2025

Talking to the Moon, Amitesh Shrivastava’s solo exhibition, reflects his nocturnal, meditative practice rooted in the forests of Chhattisgarh. Using a pointillist approach, he evokes the fluid connection between nature and self. His layered, dreamlike paintings capture murmurs—wordless exchanges between beings—revealing the quiet dissolution of individuality within the living world.

Amitesh Shrivastava

Amitesh Shrivastava (b. 1975, Khairagarh, India) is a Mumbai-based artist whose work explores the interconnectedness of nature and the self. Drawing from his childhood in the forests of Chhattisgarh, Shrivastava paints in a distinct pointillist style where abstraction and figuration merge. Working nocturnally in a secluded studio, he likens painting to prayer—an intuitive, emotional act freed from logic. His latest solo exhibition, Talking to the Moon, inaugurates Sea View’s Hollywood space (Oct 10–Nov 15). Shrivastava’s art captures murmurs—pre-linguistic, instinctive expressions—through layered patterns and earthy tones, offering a contemplative experience of nature’s fleeting truths.
