Motoko Ishibashi

Motoko Ishibashi (born 1987) is a Japanese artist whose paintings, sculptures, and installations blend pop aesthetics with digital-culture critique. Working between Tokyo and London, she explores desire, fantasy, and identity through glossy, character-driven imagery influenced by anime and internet visual language. Her work playfully examines how femininity and emotion are performed, circulated, and commodified today.
