Willie Birch (b. 1942, New Orleans) is an American artist whose work chronicles Black life, culture, and community in his native city. Working across drawing, painting, sculpture, and papier-mâché, Birch depicts everyday people, architecture, rituals, and street life. His practice explores race, history, spirituality, and the enduring influence of African cultural traditions in America.
