Drawing on art history, her lush compositions depict pregnancy, childbirth, and mothering as both physical and symbolic acts of creation. From dramatic, dreamlike depictions of cesarean birth to communal scenes of fertility, Orchard reimagines motherhood with tenderness and complexity.
