“Rust Never Weeps” presents paintings by David Ambrose, marking his first exhibition with Tibor de Nagy Gallery. The exhibition centers on eight Black Trunk Paintings made between 1987 and 1989, depicting a century-old family trunk rendered in detailed oil paint. A selection of lace paintings from the late 1990s is also included, connecting family history, material memory, and artistic lineage.
