Hauser & Wirth presents Sometimes a straight line has to be crooked, the first exhibition to pair works by Henry Taylor and his former teacher James Jarvaise. Spanning from the 1950s to today, the presentation highlights their shared interest in landscape and includes new paintings by Taylor. The exhibition honors Jarvaise’s early support of Taylor, marking a return to their artistic connection and reflecting on Jarvaise’s influence as both mentor and acclaimed California painter.
