Toward a Sentence brings together thirteen NARS Foundation Season II international residents — Obadah Aljefri, Erika Choe, Ji Soo Chung, Priyanka Dey, Nicole Economides, Aviv Grinberg, Arom Ju, Noa Klagsbald, Colby Lamson-Gordon, Ailyn Lee, Jill Smith, Rowan Van As, and Chanya Vitayakul — around the structure of a crossword puzzle as a way of thinking through collective becoming. Each artist chooses a word, a position, a direction within a shared grid. Meanings emerge through intersection, constraint, and unexpected connection, each work gaining clarity through its relation to the others.
