What’s Left, Never Left is a solo presentation by Auudi Dorsey featuring paintings developed through research into African American histories connected to water. Drawing on archival sources, the works revisit erased leisure spaces and focus on African women to address generational loss of swimming knowledge. The paintings reconsider cultural relationships to aquatic environments, linking historical experience to present-day questions of access, memory, and belonging.
