Yares

Yares Art was founded in Scottsdale, Arizona by Riva Yares in 1964. In 1991, Yares Art established a second gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Riva's son, Dennis Yares, expanded the gallery in 2016 to a 5th Avenue location in New York with over 10,000 square feet of exhibition space located above Bergdorf Goodman. In 2023 Yares Art opened its third gallery space on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. The primary focus of Yares Art is Color Field painting of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Yares Art represents the estates of Thomas Downing, Friedel Dzubas, Joseph Marioni, Jules Olitski, and exclusively represents Larry Poons. Yares Art publishes exhibition catalogues and monographs annually. The gallery participates in select art fairs including The Art Show (ADAA), TEFAF Maastricht, TEFAF New York, Art Basel, Art Basel Paris, and Art Basel Miami Beach. Yares Art has been a member of the ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America) for 30 years.
