Marian Goodman Gallery presents Sparrow on the Sea, a solo exhibition by Yang Fudong featuring his new film alongside two mixed media series, Sparrow and Island. Commissioned by M+ Museum and Art Basel, the film is a dreamlike narrative exploring time, memory, and identity through a protagonist portrayed at different life stages. Yang’s cinematic visuals and poetic storytelling create an immersive, open-ended experience, where reality and illusion merge, inviting viewers to engage with ambiguity and reflection.
