Peter Bradley: Ten Sculptures

Karma, 188 East 2nd Street New York · Lower East Side / East Village
Exhibition on view: Feb 20, 2026 - Mar 14, 2026

Peter Bradley: Ten Sculptures presents abstract works welded from salvaged grates, pipes, and steel fragments. Developed alongside his Color Field paintings, the sculptures use a focused palette against untreated metal. Created in his upstate New York studio, the nonrepresentational forms reference flight and retain traces of their industrial origins, extending Bradley’s improvisational approach across media.

Peter Bradley

Peter Bradley (b. 1940) is an American painter and sculptor associated with the Color Field movement, known for vibrant abstractions inspired by jazz, improvisation, and the expressive power of color. Since the late 1960s, he has developed experimental techniques using poured and sprayed acrylics, natural elements, and found materials. Bradley also curated the landmark 1971 De Luxe Show, one of the first racially integrated exhibitions in the United States. His work is held in major museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, LACMA, the Menil Collection, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
