White Columns, established in 1970 by artists Jeffrey Lew and Gordon Matta-Clark, is New York City’s oldest alternative non-profit art space. Originally known as 112 Workshop/112 Greene Street, it has been a pivotal platform for emerging artists, offering exhibitions, projects, talks, screenings, and events. The gallery is committed to supporting artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial, or commercial attention.
