Mitch Patrick: Etiolated Calligrapher centers on four suspended prints produced with a custom mechanism assembled from 3D printer components. Generated on square plastic sheeting, the works incorporate hand sewn digital imagery reconfigured through the artist’s coded, calligraphic system. Drawing on scenes from daily life, each glyph corresponds to tonal values that allow the image to regenerate through an asemic structure.
